Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how WW Commerce(operating under the brand name "Adgain", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on adgain.io and the Adgain dashboard. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains everything we do with the data we receive from connected Google Ads and Shopify accounts.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They're widely used to make sites work, remember preferences, and protect against abuse. We also use a few related technologies (local storage, session storage) for the same purposes; for simplicity we refer to all of them as "cookies" in this policy.

2. How we use cookies

Adgain takes a minimal-cookies approach. We only use cookies that are strictly necessary to deliver the service, plus a small set of authentication cookies inside the app. Specifically:

• Strictly necessary cookies— keep the site secure (bot/abuse protection at our CDN), keep you signed in once you're authenticated, and remember your active store inside the dashboard.

We do not use:

• Advertising or retargeting cookies.
• Cross-site tracking, fingerprinting, or third-party ad pixels.
• Third-party analytics (Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Hotjar, Mixpanel, etc.) on the marketing site at adgain.io.
• Cookies that share your activity with advertisers, data brokers, or marketing networks.

Because we don't set non-essential cookies on adgain.io, GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive do not require us to show a cookie consent banner on the marketing site, and we don't.

3. Cookies set on adgain.io (this marketing site)

The only cookies set when you browse adgain.io come from our CDN, Cloudflare, and exist purely to keep the site available and protect against bots and DDoS:

• __cf_bm — Cloudflare bot management. Distinguishes humans from automated traffic. Lifetime: 30 minutes from last activity. First-party.
• cf_clearance— only set if Cloudflare presented you with a security challenge and you passed it. Confirms the challenge was solved so you don't see it again on every page. Lifetime: up to 30 days. First-party.

4. Cookies set inside the Adgain dashboard

Once you sign in to the Adgain dashboard, the following additional strictly-necessary cookies are set on the application domain:

• Authentication (Clerk): __session, __client, __clerk_db_jwtand related cookies set by our authentication provider, Clerk, to keep you signed in. Lifetime: up to 7 days, refreshed on activity. Without these, you'd have to re-enter your password on every page load. See Clerk's Privacy Policy.
• Billing (Stripe): __stripe_mid and __stripe_sid, set only during the subscription checkout flow, used by Stripe for fraud detection. Lifetimes: 1 year and 30 minutes respectively. See Stripe's Cookie Policy.
• Application preferences: a small amount of local storage (your selected store, the date range you last viewed, your last sort/filter on the dashboard) so the app remembers where you left off. This data never leaves your browser.

5. Third-party services and their cookies

When you submit our contact form, the form is processed by Formspree. Formspree may set cookies on its own domain to prevent spam and abuse. Adgain does not read or share these cookies. See Formspree's Privacy Policy.

We do not embed any other third-party widgets, tracking pixels, or chat tools on adgain.io.

6. Managing cookies

Most browsers accept cookies by default. You can remove or reject cookies in your browser settings. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will break parts of the dashboard (you won't be able to stay signed in, for example).

• Mozilla Firefox:Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
• Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data
• Microsoft Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and site data
• Brave / Arc: Settings → Shields / Privacy → Cookies

You can also revoke Adgain's access to your Google account at any time via Google Account permissions and to your Shopify store from the Apps section of your Shopify admin.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy if our cookie usage changes, for example if we ever add a privacy-respecting analytics tool. Material changes will be announced at least 30 days in advance to active customers, the same way we announce changes to the Privacy Policy. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
